Passing the Torch!

Dear Friends,
It is with great Joy and a little Sadness that we introduce to you the Future Owners of Moon Lake Resort, Yvonne and Greg Gardner. We have been working with the Gardners regarding the purchase of the Resort since last May. They are very excited to take over operations and meet all of you.  The official Passing of the Torch is expected sometime mid to late November. We will be working closely with Yvonne and Greg to ensure that your next Moon Lake visit is every bit as enjoyable as your last.

In 2020 you will find plenty of your Old Favorite Things and some New Fun Surprises!

Bookings for the Coming Season, 2020, will commence on Monday, October 14 for groups of 3 or more Cabins
and on Tuesday, October 15 for any size reservation.
Julie, Emily and Yvonne will be handling the phones on opening days.
For more details about reserving, see our “Booking for 2020” email sent October 9th  or on our “What’s New” page http://whatsnewatmoonlakeresort.blogspot.com/

Greg and Yvonne will have a new email address to handle future Resort business, this will be available soon.  In the meantime, Bill and Julie will continue to use resortmail@moonlakeresort.com if you wish to contact us.

Below you will find a little bio telling you about the Gardners and what has drawn them to Moon Lake Resort.

We wish Yvonne and Greg to be blessed with the same wonderful friendships that we have experienced here.
Thanks for Loving Moon Lake, and Us, these past 24 Seasons!

Gratefully
Bill, Julie and Jeff Reardon

About Yvonne and Greg Gardner

Greg is a Uinta Basin lifer having spent a portion of his life in either Vernal, Roosevelt, or Neola. Shortly after high school, he went on a mission for his church for two years then joined the military reserves when he got back, and then went off to college in Logan, Utah. After a year on campus, Greg returned to Roosevelt to finish up his business degree and eventually purchased a house in Neola where he was closer to the mountains he loves. Soon after, he and Yvonne (high school sweethearts) reconnected and got married. Greg loves the out-of-doors and spends his spare time, hiking, backpacking, hunting, fishing, camping and generally exploring and enjoying the High Uintas, of Utah.
Yvonne grew up in Roosevelt and graduated from Union High School. She left the Uintah Basin to play volleyball for a college in Southern California. She then married and lived in Los Angeles, California for 8 years, went through a divorce and moved back to Vernal, Utah. Greg and Yvonne had dated in high school before he left for his mission and were able to get back together and have been married now for 24 years and raised 8 children. They love the time they get to spend in the mountains and are very excited for their new adventure.
Greg and Yvonne have owned and operated many businesses in the area over the years and their dream has long been to own and operate a resort in the mountains.  They have been watching and waiting for the right time—and this year is it!
