Boil Order Currently in Effect 6/20/17

The USFS is in the process of upgrading the Moon Lake culinary water system which supplies the Campground and Resort Cabins. Until the upgrades are 100% complete, there will be periods of possible non-potable water in the system. Specific dates are unknown.

When there is doubt of potability, a boil order will be posted. 

Please prepare accordingly by bringing bottled drinking water.

Campers may want to fill trailer holding tanks before arrival.

This problem was unexpected. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

You will be notified again when upgrades are complete.

Hello Friends and Greeting from Moon Lake!

The staff has been on site for more than a month now and the Resort is in its third week of operation. Despite the small cold front that moved through yesterday it has been a glorious spring with a  mostly full lake, humming birds and robins galore,  aspens and pines in their greenest of green, bunnies, deer and even wild flowers already in bloom!

Temperatures return to the 70’s by the weekend and even low 80’s by next week.

June still remains relatively quiet. It seems the population at large believes we are still under a blanket of snow from the winter storms. We get daily phone calls asking if the road is open. SO, for the record, THERE IS NO SNOW AT MOON LAKE AND ALL IS READY TO GO!

As for Cabin availability--as usual--many dates are already full.

However, life happens and plans change—so, sometimes there ARE cancellations. 

In fact, two of the favorite Cabins--11 & 24 are OPEN NEXT WEEK: 

Cabin #24 for 2 nights--Sunday and Monday--June 18 & June 19th

AND

Cabin #11 for 5 nights—Wednesday, June 21 through Monday June 26th.

(At this time, there are no other vacancies in these two Cabins until late in August--so grab ‘em while you can!)

Also next week--we have Cabins #7, #8 and  #1 for Wednesday & Thursday (June 21 & 22)

and Rustic Cabin #22 (June 21 & 22) available.

Repeat guests should mention this email for $10 off per night for ALL remaining June Vacancies. (Minimum night stays may apply.) Multiply Cabins for the same night may be eligible for a larger discount!

Spring has sprung! Cabins and Campground opening in Just 13 days!

Today is the first day of Spring, which means that the Resort will be opening in 67 days.
No, it doesn't look like this yet, but it will soon.
The snow and ice are melting fast with lots more rain in the forecast.
We are sold out for Memorial Weekend, but still have openings throughout the season.
